Enjoy the amazing exhilaration of exploring the ancient native tropical rainforest jungles of Doi Saket just 40 minutes outside of Chiang Mai in Thailand. Dragon Flight provides a variety of climbing, flying, and abseiling activities throughout the rainforest jungle for this purpose. Dragon flight zip-line tours are suitable for everyone between the ages of 4 and 65 (depending on fitness), and are provided in a professional safe and eco-friendly way. Some of the oldest untouched native rainforests can be found in the Doi (Mountain) Saket area near Chiang Mai. These rainforests can be broken into three main environments.
Starting at the rainforest floor, Dragon flight zip-line tours provide visitors with the opportunity to explore this region of the rainforest during the 10 minute nature walk at the beginning of our Dragon Flight Zip-Line Adventure Tour. During the walk you’ll be likely to see a huge variety of young plant life and insects along with the animals that consume them for survival. This part of the jungle is usually dark and humid all year round with some areas being flooded at times.
Interestingly and contrary to popular belief, the floor of many rainforests is not always fertile. Then there’s the rainforest understory which is nearly always a pleasant 22 – 24 degrees Celsius, although quite humid, there is always plenty of shade in this region due to the huge palm trees and other big leaved vegetation. A large number of plants begin life in this zone without ever touching the rainforest floor. Many of our starter zip-lines and other platforms allow visitors to really explore and become intimate with this amazing world of untouched beauty and ancient lifeforms. The rainforest canopy is the top of the rainforest world which is home to various types of plants and animals not found naturally in any other part of the world.
Visitors to Dragon Flight are some of the few people in the world ever to traverse and explore this amazing wilderness in the up close and personal way that we offer. This can all be done in complete safety thanks to our team of dedicated professional tour guides. Our course management team who speak good English are dedicated to keeping the apparatus and user safety equipment in good condition, and are also very skilled at helping our visitors become more comfortable with the activities. This is done by starting out with relatively short zip lines which are also relatively close to the ground.
As a visitor’s confidence grows they are able to climb higher and go further until reaching the stage that has them flying over the tree tops and enjoying every second of the exhilarating experience and breath-taking views over the hills and valleys of Doi Saket. Dragon Flight Zip-lines love the Doi Saket Rainforest and fully appreciate the importance of their role in providing the world with a substantial amount of its oxygen as well as being home to many rare and unique birds, reptiles, mammals and a variety of plant life including trees which are over a thousand years old.
We therefore take great care in ensuring that all our platforms and activities have minimal impact on the delicate and unique rainforest eco-system. So all visitors are able to soar through the tree tops and over them while taking in the marvellous views knowing that what they are seeing has been unchanged for thousands of years and will continue to be so for many more generations to come. We are sure that most visitors will remember their experience with Dragon Flight in the Doi Saket rainforests for many years to come.
We offer 55 platforms throughout the rainforest providing suspended bridges, abseiling and zip-line activities suitable for most ages and fitness levels. We provide all safety equipment including; helmet, carabiners, safety lanyards, harness’ and other safety gear as appropriate.
